Jessica Lau - Fitness Manager of TEAM Burnaby

I grew up playing all sorts of sports recreationally, but only started exercising again as an adult for health reasons. 
 I started strength training in 2017 as a way to destress. As a petite girl, I did not realize I was capable of becoming strong. I quickly fell in love with exercising. I also run regularly and have done local 10K and half marathons. My physical and mental health improved significantly over time, and I love sharing my passion with those around me. 
I am becoming certified with BCRPA to share more of my love towards health and fitness. I hope to motivate people to become a better version of themselves.
My belief is to surround yourself with likeminded people. Continue to show up even when you do not feel like it - you will look back and be proud of how far you have gone.

Paul Kim  

I have been training clients to help them reach their goals for 5 years. In that time, I have helped many clients lose weight, get stronger, and rehabilitate injuries.
I have a strong background in sports, with a great interest plyometrics (explosive training) as well as strength training to help you reach your athletic goals.
My training philosophy is to help make training a fun and enjoyable experience and teaching you the fundamentals of training and nutrition. I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals! :)

Ed Ping

From 2010 to 2020, I worked in Vancouver, BC as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, becoming well-versed in effectively teaching others and sharing comprehensive exercise concepts with them.

While improved health & overall well-being were achieved amongst my clients, at least half of them successfully used exercise to manage medical conditions (post-op cancer survivors; Parkinson’s Disease; post-heart surgeries; etc); work around injuries; and / or strengthen recently healed areas when safely possible.

Yao Xu

Yao was introduced to CrossFit in 2014 and found his career as CrossFit Coach and Personal Trainer in 2015. He has taught more than 8000 classes over the past 7 years and helped many clients reached their fitness goals. Yao specialized in athletic performance, weight-loss program, kids/teenager classes, weightlifting, and other functional movement classes.

Yao believes in lifelong learning and lifelong fitness. Outside of work you’ll spot Yao cycling among shoreline or hiking trails in Northshore.

Kevin Luong

My name is Kevin. Getting into fitness has taught me to be more disciplined with everything I do. I have plenty of personal experiences in the gym, making lots of trial and error to create a program that best fits me. Through this process, I fell in love with bodybuilding and am looking to be one of the best natural bodybuilders in Canada. After acquiring my personal training certificate, I worked with a few people around me to help them achieve their fitness goals: fat loss and muscle growth. I build training programs and nutrition guidelines with the data provided by the clients that cater to their body types and needs. Kiwi Cheng

I am a wife, a mom, a foodie, a fitness enthusiast and a bikini athlete. 

Growing up I’ve always been overweight and hated anything fitness related. Eating was my favourite hobby. 

However, 5 years ago at my lowest point of physical and mental health, fitness and proper nutrition turned my life around. I lost 40lbs in 6 months and restored my health, which prepared me for a smooth ride through pregnancy to delivery to postpartum recovery. And as a toddler mom, I challenged myself in entering my first bodybuilding competition on my 31st birthday, winning 4 awards in just one day. More competitions in the days to come!
